Browntown Summer Days Festival, June 2021
The restrictions imposed by COVID-19 meant that the traditional Redbud Festival had to be cancelled but, thanks to the hard work of volunteers at the Browntown Community Center, it was replaced by a “Summer Days” event.
The BEARR Group attended this, and had stands displaying the 911 reflective signs as well as encouraging people to sign the petition to improve telecommunications access in the valley.
The fire department was also present and the mock house for children to spray with the fire hose was a huge success due to the efforts of BEARR Group members Allan Brockway (Browntown Volunteer Fire Chief) and Mark Koszyk. The structure was built by another group member: Alan Thompson.
